Boston Startup: Tikatok - A Children’s Book Creation Platform (One for the Kids)
The company started when two mom’s in the community wanted to encourage the imaginations and creativity of their children through the creation of art and stories and compiling them into books.  Their idea has turned into a bona fide startup with a user base that has nothing but go up since the service was launched.

AIM just launched a new version of AIM for the Mac that allows you to communicate whenever you want, wherever you are on your Mac or on the go with your iPhone. AIM for Mac makes it easy to send IMs to your friend’s cell phone using AIM-to-SMS and we now support Growl notifications so you can stay on top of what’s going on.

SPEZIFY THE INSPIRED SEARCH
There are a multiple ways to search items and names visually on the web these days, but nothing that presents results from a large number of websites quite like Spezify. It looks like a multimedia art project making search a more intutive experience, thus giving you a better overview of the subject. Check it out, it’s clearly a very visually stimulating search engine.

thought this looked interesting and tried it myself… yep, it’s fun. kind of creates a personal collage of pictures and articles. I really like it visually but not sure if I would use this regularly as a search engine. most of the results seemed very old - only a few were from the past couple weeks.  I’ll give it a shot though and see how that goes.

Cool layout and newspaper/scrapbook feel.

The News-Gazette.com: Want to build a brand? Give a tweet
I recently did a Startup Cafe lunch keynote to a group in Champaign, Illinois and it was covered (click the link or photo above) by Don Dodson of the local press. Thanks Don!

In real-estate the emphasis is always put on “location, location, location!” and thanks to ever-evolving technology we can now be productive from almost any location - the devices and connectivity leave us no excuse. (via Embracing Unrestricted Mobility | Shiny Heart Ventures)

Yes, these are ads. But as we wrote previously, these are the best kind of ads cause they’re actually funny, and something I would watch. Say Hello To The First Someecards Video Cards. Ads That Are Hilarious.
